A native Chicagoan, Natalia Salazar is an Emmy-nominated producer and dynamic film industry professional, with a strong foundation in film production, marketing and communications, and community engagement. She brings over a decade of experience across public, private, and nonprofit sectors, with a focus on advancing inclusive storytelling and elevating creative communities. 

With a versatile production background spanning documentary, scripted, feature-length and short films, episodic series, commercial, and music video production, she brings a collaborative mindset and a deep commitment to meaningful storytelling. Her production experience includes distribution on major platforms such as AMC+, Prime Video, Netflix, HBO Max, Showtime and more.

Her career includes a strategic role at the Chicago Film Office, where she blended analytical insight with creative vision, led policy development and workforce initiatives, as well as high-impact programming that fostered talent and industry growth. She cultivated meaningful partnerships and relationships with numerous local and national film vendors, organizations and festivals. 

She also had a pivotal role in helping to launch the Independent Film Alliance Chicago, managing programming, events, partnerships, and marketing. Natalia has curated and executed numerous large scale events, managed donor and partner relations, and spearheaded brand elevation campaigns that galvanized the local film scene.

Natalia firmly believes in Chicagoland’s talented creatives and is dedicated to continue elevating the local film industry. She continues her commitment to this work as a board member of the national organization Women In Film (Chicago chapter). ​
